Advent is Always A Thousand Elsewhere

Advent is Always

“I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel” (Genesis‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬).
From Genesis‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬ forward, the Bible could be considered “advent” (from Latin adventus, “coming”); the period of preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ and the preparation for the second coming of Christ.

Some Bible scholars believe there are more than 300 prophecies about Jesus in the Old Testament and many of them see this verse as a reference to Christ, the Son of God and ultimate member of Eve's offspring. Satan would damage Christ, but He would have the ultimate victory on behalf of humanity.

As today marks the beginning of advent, while we dust off our advent books, calendars and rituals, let’s remember that EVERY day is a day we look forward to the second coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. --- “And he said, “Hear then, O house of David! Is it too little for you to weary men, that you weary my God also? Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” Isaiah‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭| ESV‬‬
