Psalm‬ ‭70

Psalm‬ ‭70

Playing with some Chia seeds in the sunshine with my tea as I mediated on the Psalm this morning.

David is asking the Lord to come quickly to his aid, but we know the Lord to be with us always.

When it feels like we are distant from God it is because WE have distanced ourselves from God. When God feels distant, ask yourself these questions:

Have I been spending time in His word?

Have I praise + worshipped Him and shared my heart with Him through prayer?

Have I been surrounding myself with His people?

Have I been serving Him by serving others, whether that be with my time, talents or monetary blessings?

Have I spent any time pursuing Him in His creation?

Quiet your heart, cry out to God and trust in His kindness and mercy. --- Make haste, O God, to deliver me! O Lord, make haste to help me! Let them be put to shame and confusion who seek my life! Let them be turned back and brought to dishonor who delight in my hurt! Let them turn back because of their shame who say, “Aha, Aha!” May all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you! May those who love your salvation say evermore, “God is great!” But I am poor and needy; hasten to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer; O Lord, do not delay! Psalm‬ ‭70 | ESV‬‬
