We have been learning lots from Proverbs about the way of the wise.
Chapter 5 goes into more detail about the path of destruction, specifically adultery.
Our God is a jealous God. Jealous of who or what we worship (as the church is the bride of Christ and wants our hearts) and jealous for His sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman (as they become one flesh in the eyes of the Lord).
It’s a sobering truth to remember that He sees everything we do. He sees everything we are. He sees us. --- For your ways are in full view of the Lord, and he examines all your paths. The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them; the cords of their sins hold them fast. For lack of discipline they will die, led astray by their own great folly. Proverbs 5:21-23 | NIV
