Psalm‬ ‭13 A Thousand Elsewhere

Psalm‬ ‭13

Do you ever find yourself crying out this prayer, alongside David?

How long, O Lord? Will you forget us forever?

How long will Covid19 take vulnerable lives?

How long will we fight cancer with no cure?

How long will we endure corrupt Government, with lack of godly leadership.

How long will we continue to demolish your beautiful creation?

How long will children die of hunger?

How long will the murders of abortion continue?

How long will the injustices of POC be fought for, to little avail.

How long until you return?

And yet—until then, we will fight for the good and sing to the Lord, for He HAS been good to us. --- How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I take counsel in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me? Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death, lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,” lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken. But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, because he has dealt bountifully with me. Psalm‬ ‭13 | ESV
