Trust A Thousand Elsewhere

Trust

TRUST
noun
1. firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.

I’ve never had a transition, going into a new year, quite like this one. There’s a lot of changes coming down the pipe for me this year and I find myself constantly closing my eyes and saying to God “I trust you”, as a necessary meditation through it all.

Allowing myself to feel the feels but also trying to hand my overwhelm over to Him.

After a season of waiting and “no’s”, my husband and I have officially entered a season of open doors, new challenge, new beginnings and opportunities.

Praying with every breath that through it all I learn to trust in and depend fully on Him, in His plan for me, my family, my salvation.

I’ve never really chosen and stuck with a word-of-the-year, but out of necessity I keep coming back to the word ‘TRUST’, so I’m running with it as mine—desperate to look only to God for my daily needs, forgiveness of sins and strength and wisdom to navigate this new year.

Did you pick (or did one pick you?) a word of the year? I’d love to hear it in the comments! --- In you, Lord my God, I put my trust. I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause. Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Psalm 25:1-6‬ ‭| NIV‬‬
