Branding & Colour

Branding & Colour

Colour can say a lot about your business and it is important to recognize the impact it has on your brand; it’s essentially the first thing a consumer will notice about your branding.

Colour can basically be divided into two different categories; warm and cold. Warm colours like red are associated with energy and passion. Cold colours like blue are more associated with calmness and security.

Color increases brand recognition by up to 80%*. When choosing your brand colours it’s important to keep in mind that every colour evokes a different response from people.

A study of the world’s top 100 brands determined by brand value were analyzed and summarized with the following results.

Primary logo colours used

33% Blue – Comfort, faith, conservative, understanding, clarity, confident, calm, trust
29% Red – active, emotional, passionate, love, intensity, aggressiveness
